You’re probably wondering how a career shift from nursing to retail, and now interior design seems conventional, right? Career transitions happen and are becoming increasingly common because professionals, like me, seek personal fulfillment by moving beyond a plateau, taking on new challenges, and learning the language of a new field. You might say I’ve done a complete professional overhaul, break
ing tradition and embracing versatility with a non-linear career path. With an eye for detail and a love for the finer things in life, I thrive on making spaces beautiful, functional, and uniquely personal. Now, my definition of the finer things in life is not only a beautiful heirloom or antique piece placed strategically in a beautiful space, but simple pleasures that bring joy and satisfaction in my life such as a wonderful meal, time with my grands, and self-gratification through hard work and success. Often referred to as “dopamine décor,” designing/decorating is known to stimulate the brains reward system and provide just that, a true sense of self-gratification. My personal project, the one that ignited and fueled my passion, was resurrected in August of 2023 when my husband Clint and I embarked upon the journey of a new build. I can’t wait to take you through this amazing journey of how a simple find on Pinterest has now transitioned into our forever dream home.
