At *long last* Gladys is here! I love doing funky pieces like this! The face of this adorable little dresser is a decoupage paper applied and blended. I leaned in with more polkadots for the sides and textured them for an additional pop of contrast. The top drawer k***s were custom made to showcase the colors of the piece and I love them because they play off the fuzzy sheep wool in the picture. I added stubby little black feet and stripped the top back to its natural wood. Finally, the drawer sides are covered with a super fun plaid fabric that, again, ties into the color scheme. At 29" x 15" x 12", Gladys is the perfect size for a bedside nightstand or as a little accent table beside your favorite chair. Going to today! (Swipe to the end for before pic)

"Nevermore" pumpkin ~ painted a neutral cream with a handpainted raven silhouette cameo, dry brushed with dark wax. Measures about 10" tall x 7" wide. I have this priced at $30.00 because I don't want to put it back in storage til next year! Pickup here in Tiger; let me know if interested.

Hi friends! The Foxfire Mountaineer Festival this coming Saturday 10/4 will be my last show for this year, so I hope y'all take the chance to come to Clayton and enjoy the festival and our downtown shops! Normally I do two or three more shows before Christmas, but to be totally transparent, I have struggled this year to find both energy and motivation to keep things afloat with Retold. That being said, I am not quitting - just stepping back to enjoy the upcoming holidays on a more relaxed scale than I've done for the past 4 years. Hope to see you Saturday!

Got hired this past weekend for an abstract mountain mural; client started it but wanted someone else to finish it. I also cleaned up parts of the original. This was a first for me and I really enjoyed doing it! Definitely would be open for more mural work depending on scope and theme.
