Formed Co. is my space for creating real, useful things: one-off pieces, simple tools, and objects built to last. Some are carved from wood, others are printed layer by layer, but all of it is made with intention. I split my time between tech work, raising a family, and making things that feel good to hold and use. This isn’t a factory—it’s just me in the shop, figuring it out as I go and sharing

Personal project, bit different from the usual.

Not wood or 3D print related this time, but our family decided to bring home some more chicks.

I took a standard tote, cut out the top, added some chicken wire, and zip-tied it in place. Simple setup, but it works great for a quick brooder.

Personal project: Hydroponics
This is my first experiment with hydroponics, and I’m pretty excited about it. I wanted to try this method because it’s a clean way to grow. There's no soil, just water and nutrients.

Some of the benefits:
• Faster growth
• More control over what your plants get
• A way to grow indoors all year

I printed this setup using PETG, since it’s water-resistant, food-safe, and holds up better to heat and sunlight.

Always learning, always making.
