Good Saturday afternoon. I was asked today if I knew how to bake an old fashion coconut pie and as I explained I never have but was willing to find a recipe and try it. After getting a few recipes from a family member and looking through some old cookbooks which did not include coconut pie but coconut cream pie I found this book again. This book was from 1923 wow! It has a lot of little tidbits in it and family birth date almost as it was used as a Bible of sorts. This book belonged to my Great grandmother who was born June 1905 and passes away Feb 1936. I am honored to have gotten some few years ago from my father her grandson. I plan to start trying some of these recipes.
