This photo from speaks to me in so many ways. It reminds me of who I really am when the layers fall away—fear, worry, overthinking, anxiety, the weight of mental load, even those heavy pockets of depression.

No makeup.
Two days past hair-wash day.
Hair down. Smile on.

A casual shirt I don’t mind getting dirty—because I don’t want anything to pull me out of this moment.
Phone tucked away inside.
Out in nature, in the sun ☀️—my favorite place to be.

Fall air wrapped around us. An oversized sweater tied at my waist.
Cute boots to keep the mud out of the house.
Leaves crunching underfoot, birds chirping, laughter echoing.
The smell of fall. Cold air on pink cheeks.

Most of all—my daughter and I, making memories through silliness and joy (and my son too, not pictured) 😂.

When you’re rooted in who you are and clear about where you’re going, nothing can hold you back.
Dream freely. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. Let presence guide each step.

The time is now…
Who are you, really?
Where do you want to go?
What do you want?
What’s keeping you from being vulnerable… from being present… from chasing that dream?

You’ve got this.
Little by little—we’ve got this. 🤍

We listen and we don’t judge. Apparently according to my ten year old, that a game now?🤔🤔

But I think it fits perfect here too. 😆😂

We were talking about Blue Zones this weekend - those places in the world where people live longer, healthier lives. As I read through the commonalities, it struck me: yep. That’s how I want to live.

Simple food, daily movement, deep relationships, purpose, and rhythms that support the body, mind, heart and soul over a lifetime.

Simplicity. Good stewardship. Growing in wisdom. Trusting in God. Quiet confidence. Delighting in the everyday. Making things pretty and making pretty things.

These are my themes on repeat, year after year, that I always come back to. Grateful for another year to put them into practice!

Update: We move in 3 weeks and have exactly one box packed 😬😂
So obviously… instead of packing, I’m researching what animal we should get first.

Josh has officially said no to all animals (except our golden + orange cat 💕—still missing our sweet pug 🥹).
But hear me out… BUNNY.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole (literally) and WOW.
Mini Lops are sassy, needy, high-maintenance, and outrageously cute — basically my people.

What I’ve learned so far:
• They need space or they get ✨sassy✨
• Mostly indoor pets (summer + winter = no thank you)
• Yes, they can be potty trained (WHAT)
• Cedar = toxic 🚫
• They chew everything 😅
• Need daily free-roam time + toys + cardboard chaos
• Must be fixed unless you enjoy surprise bunny spray 😆
• Total 10-year commitment
• Want to be part of the family, not a cage decoration

So… inside or outside setup?
Boy or girl?
One bunny or two?
Best enclosures that don’t ruin the house?

Give me all of the advice, im going to need it! Trust me…. We use to have a hamster 🐹 named Earl and well he’s no longer with us 😅🥹😂

If this works out, please meet Steve the Bunny (gender TBD) sometime after we unpack more than one box 🐰❤️

This started with thrifting—and grew into something more.

A love for old things, gentle art, and homes that feel safe and real.

I believe the things we surround ourselves with shape how we feel.

That’s why I’m drawn to well-loved pieces and soft, calming art.

This page is about creating spaces that support slow, meaningful living.

Welcome to the Eclectic House Page!

This space is for those who love intentional, lived-in homes—where vintage pieces tell stories and soft art brings calm.

I curate and create slowly, choosing meaning, function, and beauty over perfection.

If you’re drawn to eclectic spaces, cottage charm, and a slower way of living—you’re in the right place.

60 deep breaths.

That’s all it takes to reset yourself. To work through unpleasant emotions following a difficult conversation or situation. To let go of emotional pain or suffering. To get out of the survival part of your brain. To stop overthinking. To stop you from transferring trauma onto someone you love. To stop the worries. To feel calm. To feel relaxed. To connect.

I believe the things we surround ourselves with shape how we think and feel. I think thats why I’m drawn to well-loved pieces and soft, calming art.

Remember — 60 deep breaths.

Where is your favorite spot in your home to decompress?
