the history attached, so the story of the silver lives on! Our Shop is between Tipton and Syracuse, Mo located directly off Hwy 50. It’s a 2,400 sq ft recycled metal shop filled with handmade gifts made in Missouri, curated boutique items, and unique home décor. It will be an unforgettable shopping experience that will keep you returning. Our Shop is Open the first Friday & Saturday of every month, with a bonus Saturday thrown in. Our Story

Welcome to The SilverSmith’s! We are a small handmade family business and we love to create beautiful works of wearable art out of antique silverware! One of our biggest passions is taking old vintage junk, re-purposing it, and breathing a new life into it that others can enjoy! Recycling and re-using is a way to bring the love of a past, back into the present and with it brings new purpose and a unique beauty.

The SilverSmith’s were created in 2012 by Debbie Smith who took a drastic life change from being a school nurse to instead creating works of art from silverware! One of Debbie’s specialties in creating the jewelry is the hand curling and twisting of fork tines for a unique one of a kind piece. Designing new pieces of jewelry and customizing around peoples request are one of her greatest joys. It was then that word quickly spread about her unique jewelry, and our family started off by attending craft shows and selling jewelry out of the trunk of our car!

In 2015 ,we built a shop in front of Debbie Smith’s house and expanded to a 2,400 square foot shop in Tipton, Mo. In 2017 Sarah, oldest daughter, quit her corporate job in the city and joined Debbie full time in the jewelry business. Sarah heads up our online presence, customer communications, but her true love is designing new jewelry and painting. Hannah, youngest daughter, also helps with the business part time. Hannah helps us assemble the jewelry, organize and top sales woman! She is also the best mother to our SilverSmith Mascot our delightful McKinley Mae! Once you visit our shop and see our beautiful jewelry combined with our fun loving personalities, you will continue to come back for more!

One of the most common and best compliments we receive on our handmade product is, “Great quality, great service and unlike any other spoon jewelry I have ever seen before.” We strive to provide our best for our customers and are always coming up with new designs created from silverware. In addition, with each piece of jewelry we make, we research the history of the pattern, pattern name and the year it was created. Our pieces aren't just unique repurposed jewelry, but they actually carry memories of the past, a history. We love to include that with each piece of jewelry along with the love of being handcrafted by a passionate small business. We also do custom work with family silver to create heirloom jewelry in memory of your loved one. Please come visit us in our shop or online! We love meeting new customers and making new friends!
