Quilting requires concentration, decision making, pressing, cutting, sewing, ripping out the sewing you just did, sewing it AGAIN… we need fuel, people! 😂

💜🧵 HAPPY TUESDAY!!! 🧵💜

Well…we survived Monday! 🎉

And now Tuesday has shown up pretending to be an entirely different day.

NICE TRY, TUESDAY. 🤨😂

We all know the truth…

TUESDAY IS JUST MONDAY IN A DIFFERENT OUTFIT! 🤣🤣🤣

So today I'm going with a very carefully planned survival strategy:

🫖 Tea first
🧵 Fabric second
🫖 Probably more tea
✂️ Sew something fun
🐾 Snuggle Miss Nola
🙈 Ignore adulting whenever possible
💕 Be happy anyway!

Notice how cleaning and laundry somehow didn't make the list.

WEIRD. 😂

Meanwhile, Miss Nola is stretched out on the fabric looking like she has had an absolutely EXHAUSTING morning supervising me. 🐾🎀

🌿🩷 Nature Color Inspiration — Venetian Waters 🩷🌿

Oh, this one makes me want to pack a suitcase, grab my fabric, and disappear to Venice for a while! 😂🧳🧵

Soft blush, muted rose, deep evergreen, Venetian green, soft sage, and misty aqua come together in a palette that feels peaceful, elegant, romantic, and timeless.

You know my eyes immediately went to all those gorgeous greens and aquas! 💚🩵 But I really love the unexpected addition of the soft pinks. They warm everything up without taking away from those beautiful watery shades.

And THIS is exactly why I love Nature Color Inspiration. If I were standing in front of my fabric shelves, would I automatically put blush pink next to deep evergreen and aqua? Maybe not. But nature says, “Trust me, Kathy. I know what I’m doing.” 😂

Apparently Venice is not only good at canals, architecture, and beautiful scenery…it can pick quilt colors too! 🇮🇹❤️

And with my Italian background, I think I’m allowed to say this palette was practically made for me. 😂

Lara Langston is a foodie... Every time she travels, she is sure to find her way to a local kitchen. When the hotel's chef invited Lara in to taste the evening fare, a traditional Irish Stew (Stobhach Gaelach, pronounced stoo-okh Gway-lokh), she could not resist. MMMMMMM....
