Nashville Hot Jack Patties
Ingredients:
1 box of Jack & Annie’s Buffalo Jack Patties 1 cup of flour
1 TBS seasoning salt
2 TBS vegan plant- based egg substitute
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tbs pickle brine
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
A pinch of cinnamon
Frying oil
Dill pickle slices
Thickly sliced white bread
Directions:
To begin, microwave 4 buffalo jack patties for 1 minute, to thaw slightly. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour and seasoning salt. Pour the egg substitute into another shallow dish and whisk in the hot sauce and pickle brine. Bread each jack patty by dipping them first into the egg mixture and then into the flour mixture. Do this 3x, until well breaded. Let each patty rest on a cooling rack. While the patties are resting, add enough frying oil to a large skillet that it will cover the patties. Once the oil reaches 350 degrees F, slowly lower each patty into the oil. Fry for 4 - 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Return each patty to the cooling rack to drain. In a smaller skillet over low heat, add 1/2 cup of the used frying oil and mix with the cayenne, garlic powder, brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined and turn off the heat. Dunk each patty into the spicy oil mixture and serve with thickly sliced white bread and plenty of dill pickle slices. Enjoy!
