Mrs Taylor from Lafayette came in and ordered this great 6 piece set today.

She had seen a lower quality Ashley set for $1499 on Ashley’s website. She had seen a really nice Amish set that (even with their 15% off “customer appreciation sale”) was still $4500.

But she went with this special order table, 4 chairs, and bench for only $1375. Better quality. Huge savings. We can order about anything. In a few weeks she will be tickled to death with her purchase just in time for Thanksgiving. Thanks Mrs Taylor.

Help wanted.

#1
Warehouse unload help needed. Unload trucks. Put furniture together. Don’t cuss. Show up. Part time (2/3 days a week) or full time (5 days a week) but must be on a consistent schedule. Unloading furniture is tough. We know that. We compensate well based on experience and taking care of the merchandise. $18 to $25 an hour.

#2
Experienced delivery driver needed. Includes loading, driving, unloading and setting up furniture. Full time (5 days a week) or part time (2 to 3 days a week) but again a consistent schedule we can count on is required. Be presentable in language, looks, and attitude. $21 to $28 an hour or can work out a “by delivery” payment option if wanting part time.

#3
Executive assistant (it’s just fancy for saying Ashlee needs a fixer for all the messes I make). Ashlee is the heart and mind of the business(es). We know that. She needs someone to be a consistent help. Must be ultra organized and be able to implement that organization to give Ashlee much needed administrative help in the middle of what is sometimes chaos. It’s just literally 100 phone calls and 100 customers a day plus all the paperwork from trucks. This is a “take charge” type of position where you have duties but would make it your own. Create a system unique to you. We aren’t hiring someone just to tell them what to do all day. That’s exhausting. Salary based job with expectation of consistent full time work. $55,000 to $68,000 based on experience, how many of the businesses we get help with, and system creation/implementation with much room to grow inside. If you have Shopify backroom program experience, huge plus.

Thats all for now. Send resumes to [email protected]

Thanks for looking.

It’s been a great week so far. We didn’t realize both Kentucky and Tennessee were on fall break. It’s been a double whammy all week at Gum Tree.

Thank you guys for shopping with us. We look forward to finishing off a good week with an even better weekend of great deals. And Quinna will be back today and that always makes it easier.

We are very thankful that all the high schoolers have been out of school. We have unloaded 6 trucks so far this week, another truck of mattresses today, a container load of dining sets at HUGE discounts, and all the typical craziness of Gum Tree. The high schoolers have also allowed us to run 3 delivery crews a day as we are trying to get caught way up on deliveries….a little. Still, if you have a truck and can pick up, it’s your quickest and least expensive way of getting our awesome mattresses, bedroom sets, and sofas.

Watch out for the newest hiring post. We have an awesome bridge job (that may very well turn into a full time position) for an executive assistant. It’s for someone who wants a great role as we transition from location to location and as we shift Ashlee toward taking care of Titus during his recovery. She will always be the best mom first and foremost and we understand as she takes time away. It will be tough on us but we will make it!

Anyway, come see us. I’ll try to continue posting some great deals. Honestly, so many of them are selling before we can even get them posted. And what I used to do at 9:30 to 11:30 at night has now been replaced by falling asleep in the chair and my kids making fun of me. Anyway, I’ll try my best to get them up.

Thanks and have a great fall y’all!!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Ours got off to a spectacular start.

Friday was amazing. Even with the rain, it was our best day all week. We do still have several of the king and queen closeouts and scratch and dent mattresses left.

We also are clearancing through some bedroom suits and odd and end pieces. We have several nightstands and chests (some large master chests, some door chests) that we are overloaded on or that have been complete closeouts. Now we only have odd pieces left. These are at massive discounts.

We also have a few loveseats left over though several of them sold yesterday.

So come see us. It is an awesome fall day. We will be here 10 to 6:30.
