Halloween for me will never be the same...

On January 24, 2026 I lost my mother unexpectedly. My entire family is reeling and facing the costs of her final wishes amongst other additional costs we will need to face.

For those of you who do not know, my mother has lived next door to the display this entire time. She watches and aids in the visual that is Terror on South Main. Lending a hand to my creation each year. Telling me what does or doesn't look good.

Not having her here with me is unbearable and will be so difficult for me and my family. The expenses involved in completing her final wishes isn't something we were planning for. I mean no one ever is.

For anyone who can, donating to help my family in carrying out her final wishes is greatly appreciated...if you are unable to contribute, contribute by sharing. Thank you!

Toms River and neighboring townships have decided to postpone Trick or Treat until 11/1.

Well I have always been one to say, everything happens for a reason...The forecast for Trick or Treat is looking like a wash out. Therefore, I am a happy bird, that my Halloween isn't ruined with setting up, just for the major night to be ruined. However, still upset because I always enjoy bringing people and the community together on Trick or Treat and Halloween.

For the 2025 Season, Terror on South Main will be taking a break. We will be back and fully decorated in 2026! We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sometimes ya just need a mental and physical break and 2025 is that year!

Terror on South Main has been terrorizing the neighborhood for over 10 years. Over the last 10 years, the display has evolved from a small graveyard to a full blown home haunt where each Halloween, so many people have made it a Halloween or Trick or Treat tradition.

Majority...actually all of the display is put up and put together by just one person and for those of you following and visiting the attraction over the years know, that there has never been a break. Well this year, for Halloween 2025, I will be taking a much needed break.

I feel that I need a Halloween season off to enjoy other fall activities that I love doing....a reset. I personally have too much going on this year specifically where I can devote time to putting it all up, maintaining it and then bringing it down...this year.

So for the 2025 Terror Season, the Terror on South Main display will be a limited experience in size as compared to previous seasons. Of course I cannot go all Halloween and not decorate. More details on that to come. So be on the lookout!

But despite the bad news. I hope that everyone understands, I hope that the support continues and I hope that everyone returns for 2026 when the display is brought back to life. Don't forget, there will still be some sort of decorations this year...so come by! Thank you all!
