Well, today’s the day! Grand Opening at Market Street Creatives!!! I figured I’d finally introduce myself, before folks start to stop by our booth.

If you don’t know me already, hello! My name is Haylen, owner & creator of The Starry Eyed Stag. I’m a senior in high school, an FFA member, and parent to a flock of chickens and two little jersey cows. I’m joined by my grandmother, Helen 😁

My love for fantasy and nature sparked as a child. I don’t particularly remember if it was the Wild Kratts, or How To Train Your Dragon, or a mix of both 😂. But from there, it only grew.

The Starry Eyed Stag serves as an outlet for my creativity, to explore artistic mediums and focuses I’ve had to push aside ever since I walked into high school. I’ve been working with so many livestock related pieces that I haven’t found the time to simply create, to enjoy the whimsy and magic of fiction. So with that, here we are!

With my shop, I strive to provide my customers a taste of magic. Whether that be through the booth itself, or the products, there’s a bit of everything, for everyone to enjoy.

While our shelves may not be packed full today, our hearts certainly are, with gratitude, love and awe. Thank you so much, to everyone who has cheered me on, lent a helping hand, or simply listened to me ramble on and on about this place. It’s not very common for a student to have their own storefront, so you can imagine how wild this is for me!

Special thanks to my cousin and aunt, for always being there to support me through this crazy journey! And thank you mom and dad, for pushing me to do amazing things, and for helping me get the booth together in record time, even through work, school and milking a cow.
