When i was a child, my mother would bring into the house early forsythia buds and the warmth and sun would open them. The white blossoms have opened being in the house only an hour.

What joyful renewal to sit on our porch again! To walk our land and watch spring emerge! To pull weeds after the rain...so much easier! Yesterday was our second day in the yard. You can see my joy in having a powertool out!! (All that brush was cut back.) Slowley, but surely. Yard keeping, gardening..are master classes in patience. Spring to do list on the fridge. I am renewed. Very, very thankful.

Well it took quite a while to find, but when i saw the peice i wanted, i was so happy! But, someone got to the owner before me...and i prayed! And she never showed up! So, a few hours later, after a long drive to new braintree, ma....my office is now complete! Thank you FB marketplace! Now my art supplies are near me, accesible in these great drawers. The interior has a pale pink color that is the exact color of the rug!! It is VERY heavy. Was her grandmothers. And she used it for her 3 children as babies. How sweet.

Another project. Since we moved here, 12 years ago this april, i have not had an art studio. I am not one who is content with taking things out, then putting them away. I need the space set up, ready to go. I have accomplished much in the walls of this 1600 sq ft (1800 with back porch) home..except a place to artfully create. I have to now. The inner call is loud! So i have moved a perfectly centered book case, stacked all supplies on the floor, and now pouring over the internet for JUST the perfect cabinet to stand center brimming with my supplies. Art will be moved, but i will make space. My heart is requiring this. When complete i will share. In bringing boxes from storage areas i found a large box filled with my writings. Plays, scenes,one acts, unfinished novels, short stories. Wow. Alot. I look forward to accomplishing this..and seeing my brushes overflowing from jars, ready to be satuated with color.

I am very pleased. End of day one. The simple wooden k***s feel like they belong, have always been there. SO MUCH WORK. Really. 6 straight hours. Remove. Sand. Putty holes. Sand when dry. Measuring. Marking. Drill new holes. All the drawers were emptied and washed with the orange glow spray i love. Natural scent. 3 more k***s today under sink area...then an afternoon client.
