This is about the stage a house should be in when you start getting an interior designer involved. The earlier in the project the better so they can help with placing lighting and electrical; Also, space planning for room layouts like furniture, bathroom, and kitchen layouts. First we take photos, measurements, and do CAD drawings for the contractors and then we can pick out lighting, flooring, cabinets, counter tops, sinks, bathtub, toilet, furniture, paint/wall finishes, window treatments, bedding and decorations etc....The more time your designer has to work on the interior the better. It is always best to consider designing a new house from the inside out vs. the outside in! If considering a new build your designer will love you if she can work simultaneously with your Architect and Engineers!
