SUMMER. KITCHEN . REFRESH

June is officially here friends!! I hope each of you had a fantastic weekend!!! This year sure is flying by quick…it’s almost hard to believe Summer is already here! ☀️

Today, I wanted to share a quick video of our Summer kitchen, all decked out in shades of blue and white! 💙🩵🤍

If you’ve been following me for a while, you already know that I am not a big fan of the Summer months…but, the only reason is because in this part of Texas…the heat can be a bit much, especially with the humidity! 🥵

With that being said…I’ve actually been very excited to decorate for Summer this year! I wanted to try something a bit different and go for a bit of a “Summer in the Cottage” feel!

Today, I wanted to share one last look at our neutral front porch refresh before it becomes transformed into all things red, white and blue!

STARS . & . STRIPES . FOREVER

The patriotic holidays are one of my very favorite parts of Summer… even as a kid, I always looked forward to watching fireworks with my family! it always gives me chills knowing that I am so blessed to live in the land of the free! 🇺🇸

Here is a quick throwback of our fireplace, decked out with patriotic decor! I will not be decorating with red, white and blue this year….but, I am hoping this will inspire someone who may be considering it! ♥️🤍💙

TO . TOSS . OR . THROW . THE . THROW . PILLOWS ….. THAT IS THE QUESTION …… ???

Y’all, I am not gonna lie….I am really obsessed with throw pillows! There are just too many stores that have adorable options! Please tell me that I am not alone in this obsession….😍

My husband on the other hand…well, let’s just say, he likes the way they look and that’s about where it ends! He truly dislikes having to move them when he sits down on the couch and he hates having to take them off the bed every night…he complained about it just yesterday, in fact. 🤣

Does anyone else share my struggle in this department? 🤔

Don’t even get me started on changing up my rugs or the amount of throw blankets we have for “decorating only” or the dish towels that are just for “looks”!😆

I’m thinking the throw pillow debacle isn’t going away anytime soon! 🤭

HOME . LATELY …..

Yesterday was a beautiful day to celebrate all mothers who work tirelessly to care for their loved ones.....I want you to know that your hard work and unfailing love is truly appreciated. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day! 🙏🏼

Y’all, I am working tirelessly to get my home all decorated for the summer season and I am just about done….I am really going to miss my neutral colors the rest of this year…but, I am enjoying adding pops of summer color to my home! What that will look like here this year is still going to have to be a bit of a surprise! 👀

FRENCH . COUNTRY . BEDROOM

I think I have finally gotten our bedroom just how I’ve been wanting it….minus, a new headboard I have been needing to find. (I’ve been looking, but nothing has really made me take the plunge…) 🤍

It’s taken me quite a few years, but this bedroom truly reflects the various styles I love….Farmhouse, Modern Farmhouse, and French Country style all rolled into one! ⚜️

I adore the romantic vibes of the French Country style in particular! I want to romanticize my life and what better place to start than the bedroom!
