Today is the Day!

At 2pm today we will have our behind the scenes look at everything that goes into the light show. Everyone is welcome, though we ask to keep it above age 14 due to safety concerns. We will meet in the front yard and step through the display before going into Santa's workshop and looking at some other aspects, so dress warmly!

And tonight at 6pm the lights will shine for the final time of this Christmas season. If you have not got to see them yet, or want to see them one last time, come on out!

Happy New Year's Eve!

Tonight we will put out the spark machines for the last time this season. It's the closest thing to fireworks we can get in a neighborhood. (Believe me, I've checked into it!) If you haven't seen them yet, do not miss tonight. They will be out at 6pm until 9pm or so.

And don't forget Saturday will be our "Unlock the Magic" day where you can get a behind the scenes look at all that goes into an animated Christmas light display. We will get started at 2pm. Dress warm and come with all of your questions. Saturday night will be the last night of the Lights on Willow for Christmas 2026.

As we begin the final week of our 2025 Christmas Light Season, I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the amazing support.

Those of you who have come to see the lights and spread the word to your friends, thank you!

To our amazing neighbors who have shown grace and patience, thank you!

To the incredible hands who have helped throughout the year and continue to help every time we call, thank you! You are truly family to us!

To those who have followed us and shared our story with your friends and family, thank you!

To those coming this Saturday, January 3 to learn more about this exciting hobby, thank you!

To those who have taken a few moments to share your thoughts and incredible comments with us, thank you!

We will bring out the spark machines for the last time this year on New Year's Eve. They will be out from 6pm until around 9pm or so. If you have not got to see them yet, stop by.....you will enjoy them. And the Lights on Willow's last night for this season will be Saturday, January 3. But don't worry, we will be back even bigger and better next year.

Ever wonder how all of this works? Considering an animated Christmas light display for your house? Or like us, have a wonderfully creative woman who has to put up with a total geek and want a project to work on together?

Over the years we have had a lot of people ask how all of this is done. If you are interested in coming to a free behind the scenes workshop, send us a message and let us know. If there is enough interest we will schedule it within the next couple of weekends. We will need to limit it to ages 14 and up just for safety. We can spend a couple of hours looking at the props, lights, controllers, software, and some of the effort that goes into the process. For those interested in doing something like this, we can also discuss the costs involved, suppliers, and what you would need to get started, including the budget for coffee.

This is not anything you can purchase on Amazon, nor is it something you can do in a couple of weekends before Thanksgiving. When I tell you we work on this all year long, I literally mean just that. And it is a team effort. Without people like Scooter, Logan, Ashley, Rachel, Brittaney, Alan, Eric, Jillian, Les, and Nathan, there is no way that Kat, Liam, and I could pull this off.

We need your help!

We have some amazing neighbors. They have never complained about our lights or the traffic that comes with them. We absolutely do not want to take that (or them) for granted, and we ask that you help us respect their wonderful spirit during Christmastime. Please consider the following:

1. Consider parking in the drive of Trumann Elementary School. We actually take that view point in consideration when designing the lights to make sure you can see everything from there. We also make sure the radio station is easily heard from that location.

2. If you do park on Willow, please make sure to leave an open lane of traffic for our neighbors and others to be able to safely get through.

3. Turning your headlights off is very much appreciated so everyone is able to enjoy the lights. BUT PLEASE make sure to leave your parking lights on, especially if parked on Willow! Everyone's safety is of paramount concern to us.

4. We love great sound as much as anyone and try to pick some really good songs for the lights to dance to, but I have no doubt our neighbors have some of our songs memorized by now. Please take their peace into consideration when setting the volume of your car stereo.

We love doing the lights each year! We are blessed to have some wonderful friends and neighbors and so very much appreciate their patience during this season.

Change is great, come and see....
And its all thanks to Dixie!

Huge shout out to Jim, Cheryl, and Kenny Jowers from Dixie Contractors who came through with the pipe we needed to get the large matrix display back up and running in time for tonight's lights! We've all been friends for many, many years. You won't find nicer, more trustworthy and reputable people.

We are also adding a couple of new songs tonight...The Elf Song by Crowder and Noel - He is Born by Tommee Profitt and Stanaj. We think you will love them. Hope to see you soon!

At 2:30 this morning Kara and I were awakened by a loud crashing sound. The lifts holding our large video matrix experienced what the industry refers to as a “catastrophic failure“ and it was all on the ground. Thanks to Kara and Rachel’s help in some bitterly cold winds, we were able to get the panels apart and in the shop. At first glance it appears that the panels are likely unharmed. Of course I had to be at work this morning so it will be Tuesday before I can verify that. The goal at this point is to hopefully have the panels back up by this weekend.

This time we will ground support them rather than lift them. If anyone just happens to have a quantity of 7 sticks of 10’ rigid 2” pipe (think rigid conduit or black pipe) that you would like to part with, please reach out to Kara or I. We have the truss to ground support but still need the pipe to attach and the clamps for the panels. I’m ordering the clamps today so hopefully they will be here in time.

In the meantime the rest of the lights will be shining bright!

Super EXCITED about this weekend. On Friday night we will add at least two new songs to the program. AND we will have the spark and smoke machines back out! If you enjoy the lights, you will love what we have in store for Friday and Saturday night, no doubt! We will only run the spark machines until about 9pm....partially because of how expensive they are to run and also because we have to be outside with them.

And please like and share these messages to get the word out to everyone. See you this weekend!

The Sparks tonight were so much fun! We will have those out, along with the smoke and bubbles every Friday and Saturday night as long as the weather cooperates.

And of course......more to come!
