Well the bar is now open( coffee bar that is). This is an area that we wanted to do something with since we moved in, so here it is.
This is built out of Knotty Alder and Mesquite wood, with a little Hard Maple and Walnut accents. Clear lacquer durable top coat on the cabinets and trim, while the countertop has a poured epoxy coating.
We love the southwest look, perfect for our home and area. It’s fun for me to be back in the cabinet shop and doing what I love, for someone I love( my wife) creating woodwork for our home.

Well folks, the nightstands are done and in place. For those who played along guessing what I was building, it should all make sense. The color match was a little difficult to get but I think I nailed it with a close match.

Ok friends here’s my last hint picture post on this project. If you’re following along I’ve given you a chance at guessing what my latest project build is.
Some of you guessed a bed, wardrobe, and a dresser all of these are “ close” but incorrect. So today’s clues are the post height is 30 inches and notice there are two of them. The one picture shows a top being glued up. Pretty good clues I think.
To make this more interesting the first correct guess will win a batch of my daughter and wife’s cookies. This is only for people in or near Picture Rocks. So in your guess give me your favorite cookies flavor. Good luck

Ok people, here’s the next batch of picture clues on my latest project. Some lathe turnings in progress and notice that the post were split in half. That post is about 30 inches tall. Next is a few solid wood dovetail drawer boxes. The last picture is a little glue up going on.

This Playful Bobcats artwork showcases a tender moment between a momma and her kitten. It is crafted from 10 different types of wood, meticulously assembled to create this image. There are roughly 410 pieces, some no bigger than a pencil eraser, used in its construction. The artwork measures about 18 inches wide and 30 inches tall. This work also includes hand carving and wood burning for details.
