For residents in memory care, that's a daily reality.

The instinct might be to keep everything consistent — same finishes, same palette throughout. But for someone living with dementia, that sameness becomes its own kind of confusion. Every space looks like the last one.

45 years taught us to think differently.

At The Auberge at Plano, we designed three distinct neighborhoods on a single floor — each with its own character, materials, and feel — so residents could find their way home even when memory couldn't lead them there.
