This past weekend was The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA)’s Next Level Knitting Conference. I spent two full days knitting, learning new techniques and practicing others. I learned about stranded brocade, the flat three-needle bind off, and finally tried my hand at argyle! (It was so fun, and I picked up some super helpful tips from on yarn management so that intarsia doesn’t have to be so fiddly.) I’m still working on my sample for that one so I’ll share that one when I finish it. 😛
Anywho… what a great weekend. If you’ve never heard of TKGA or this (virtual) conference, I highly recommend it. This time, there were over 25 sessions that we have access to for 6 months, so there’s time to go back and watch any I didn’t get to attend live. There are amazing, knowledgeable instructors, many who are master knitters, and it’s a great opportunity to grow your craft.
The committee is exploring other formats and there will be some more focused events coming up soon. (The next one is all about shawls!) You can check out tkga.org to learn more. 🧶
