A week in Carmel, California, was just what the MBI team needed. Time to slow down, spend time together, talk about what’s ahead, and find inspiration outside the studio. For this Bartlesville family, cooking and entertaining are a big part of life, so function was at the center of the design from the beginning. The palette grew from the natural movement and color of the slab, layered with warm wood, soft blue, unlacquered brass, and natural textures.

From a LaCanche range customized around the way they cook to a Galley Sink made in Tulsa, every detail has a purpose.

These concepts and mockups offer an early look at how the vision is coming together.

One of my favorite places to recharge.

From mornings overlooking Coral Bay to hiking the island's trails and stopping for our favorite treats at Irie Pop, St. John always reminds me to slow down, appreciate the simple moments, and find renewed inspiration through nature.

It's one of the few places we've repeatedly returned to, and it truly feels like a home away from home.
