**“I only need to change my needle when it breaks.”**

**MYTH BUSTED!**

Your sewing machine needle is doing a LOT of work every time you sew. Even when it looks perfectly fine, the point can become dull or the needle can develop a tiny bend or burr.

We recommend changing your needle about every **6–8 hours of sewing time**. You may want to change it even sooner when sewing denim, multiple layers, embroidery projects, or using specialty threads.

A worn or damaged needle can cause skipped stitches, thread breaks, poor stitch quality, fabric damage, and even strange machine noises.

And here's an easy rule to remember: **When you start a new project, it's often a great time to start with a fresh needle!**
