We work with many different types of wood: pine, oak, mahogany, walnut, poplar, cedar and other reclaimed woods rescued from old barns, fences, trees and other places. While out driving one day I noticed discarded wood and metal items. The thought came to me, “ I can make something out of that". God began to talk to me about taking wood and metal that had been discarded and making them useful again. As I made my first table I could see how something that was seen as useless suddenly became valuable. The Lord said, "That's what I did with you!"
God restored and reworked me into something valuable to Him! My wife shares the vision for restoration in woodworking and in people. God showed us how taking what He values and putting time into a rough piece of wood can turn it into a beautiful piece, with plenty of use left in it.
“Lovin’ what we do & each other too, A Rustic Romance”. MATERIALS: Please keep in mind the type of wood we use when building the furnishings. Wood is an organic product and with different weather conditions, humidity, dry spells, the wood has a tendency to change. Wood has its own character, adding to your custom furnishing. Naturally wood has what most call flaws. It might be an old nail hole, a knot cracks, splits, knots, bowing, gaps, shrinking or just weathered a bit. This is all part of what we appreciate about the wood and purposely do not cover these flaws during the building process. Every piece has it’s own way of showing off its beauty, we only want to enhance that. We do use wood glue, pocket hole screw and finishing nails. At no additional cost we stain, wax or oil the furniture as a finishing touch. You can also have it unfinished. Stain or oils do not seal the table tops, you will have to add a polyurethane coating. Polyurethane coating can be high gloss or semi gloss. POLICY:
