One of my very favorite things about Paint & Peels is the creative freedom that painters have to make a design their own. I can give an entire room of painters the exact same design, watch their eyes light up with excitement as they choose their colors and then marvel at how different each of their final creations are.

Interrupting this week’s heavily-focused Eagles🦅 content to remind everyone that Valentine’s Day is a mere 2 weeks away. And I have 2 things to say about it:

1) You do not have to buy your children a buffet of red & pink heart-shaped toys, chocolates, stuffies or dare I say, crafts 🫣, to show them that you love them on Valentine’s Day. Pause. Then read that again. Yes, I am a business owner, but I’m also a mom constantly under pressure by society to buy more & more and I think it’s important that us moms stick together.

2) But if your household chooses to celebrate Valentine’s Day with gifts because you WANT to and because it brings you JOY, show your local small businesses some love while you’re at it. Stop by Sweet Annie’s Candy Shoppe for her carefully-curated V-Day treats, grab a poppin’ balloon gram from Charming Garlands by Ali, or a personalized Paint & Peel Kit from .

As moms, we get the pressure. Forman Design Co. has been nominated for the 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒈𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒚 “Montco Happening List” for 2023. This is huge for us because at the heart of it all, my core goal for this business is to spread opportunities for creative joy. It’s that simple.

I’m not saving lives here. I’m not closing million dollar deals or engineering the next big tech gadget. But I’m not just not assembling paint kits either. At least that’s not how I look at it. I am creating opportunities to build community, to build confidence, to help instill a sense of accomplishment and pride in even our smallest painters. I host paint parties where friends can gather with their families over a cup of coffee, I make birthday gifts and create Christmas designs, painted proudly by your kiddos, that may find a spot on your mantle and in your hearts for years to come.
