WHEN GOD TURNED HALF OF OUR STORE INTO A PLACE OF HOPE! 💜

October 2022. Hurricane Ian had just devastated Southwest Florida, and everywhere we looked, people were hurting.

Families had lost their homes. People were struggling to find basic necessities. Some couldn’t afford supplies, and others simply couldn’t find them anywhere.

So we did something.

We turned HALF of our Second Chance Upscale Resale store into a FREE hurricane relief supply center!

And oh, how God showed up!

People began bringing supplies. Some came from right here in our community, while others traveled from out of state, bringing desperately needed items so we could give them away.

Cleaning supplies, diapers, paper products, water, blankets, personal necessities, and so much more.

And everything was FREE!

It didn’t matter who you were, where you came from, or whether you had a dollar in your pocket. If you needed help and we had what you needed, it was yours.

I wish I could tell you how many people we were able to help during that season. There were so many!

But what I remember most wasn’t the shelves filled with supplies. It was the people. The gratitude. The relief on their faces. The kindness of complete strangers helping people they would probably never meet.

We weren’t just giving away supplies. We were giving away HOPE.

And isn’t that what ministry is all about?

Matthew 25:40 (NIV) reminds us:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Looking back at these pictures, my heart is still overwhelmed with gratitude for every person who gave, every volunteer who helped, and every opportunity God gave One Way Out Ministries to love our community.

The store may be closed today, but the love that flowed through those doors will always be part of our story.

Because this ministry was NEVER about a building. It was ALWAYS about people… and it STILL IS!

We are still here. Still serving. Still loving. Still reaching out to those who are hurting. And still believing that God can take whatever we place in His hands and use it to change somebody’s life.

And to God be ALL the glory! 💜

🚨 IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH 🚨
Yes, Second Chance Upscale Resale / “The Purple Store” has closed (about 7 months ago).
But please hear my heart clearly…
One Way Out Ministries is STILL OPEN and still doing what God has called us to do since 1999. 💜

Thank you for your support, your prayers, your encouragement, and your love throughout the years.

This season has brought many changes and financial hardship to the ministry since the store closed, but our mission has not changed. I will continue mentoring women locally at no charge, taking crisis calls, praying, and reaching hurting women just as I always have.

I am also stepping into Life Coaching and speaking nationally as a profession so I can continue supporting myself and sharing God's word while pouring back into the ministry.

We are still:• Mentoring women• Praying with women• Sharing the Gospel• Reaching into hard places• Helping women out of destructive lifestyles• Loving the brokenhearted• Taking the love of Jesus to the streets and strip clubs

The store was never the ministry — it was meant to help support the ministry financially. While we were thankful it provided jobs for women and touched many lives, it was never able to sustain itself long-term.
But the ministry continues. 💜

Some of the most powerful moments of ministry never happened inside the store anyway. They happen in prayer rooms, hospital rooms, jail cells, parking lots, phone calls, Facebook Lives, and quiet moments where women realize God still loves them.

We are also currently looking for a VOLUNTEER CPA or accountant familiar with ministry work, as ours has retired.
If God places it on your heart to support One Way Out Ministries, we would be deeply grateful.
Please do NOT give through our website right now due to technical issues.

You may give through Zelle:mailto:[email protected]
Or mail a check to:One Way Out Ministries2144 Katherine StreetFort Myers, FL 33901
Most of all, thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and love throughout the years.

We are still here.Still loving Jesus.Still loving people.Still finding jewels in dark places. 💜

God bless every customer, every friend of the Ministry, every vender, every donater, every partner that we have had at the store. God bless you and thank you for your business..

The Ministry however, is still running, are still helping people... I am putting this because people think because the store closed. The Ministry closed and it did not. we are definitely still helping people. I am on the phone with a girl right now, helping her through a hard situation. God definitely has other plans!

Friends, I need your help.

For nearly three decades, I’ve worked directly with women in some of the darkest environments — and I’ve seen firsthand how grooming and exploitation really happen.

College students deserve the truth.
Parents deserve tools.
Communities deserve awareness.

I am officially opening my calendar for 2026–2027 speaking engagements.

If you have connections to:
• Colleges
• Women’s conferences
• Civic organizations
• Advocacy groups
(Not necessarily churches)

Please share this flyer or tag someone who should see it.

Let’s take this message nationwide.
