You know you're obsessed with a project when EVERYTHING starts to remind you of it. 🧡💛

Those retro stripes we painted across the walls and ceiling? Now I see them everywhere. A camper van in the parking lot. The envelope in today's mail. My brain is officially living in 1975. 😂

That's the fun part of bold design. Once you commit to a look, it sticks with you, and that's exactly the feeling we want guests to have when they walk through the door.

Anyone else get like this with a project? 👀

Meet Alexis! ✨

Alexis is our interior designer here at STR Bold Studio. She graduated in May with a degree in interior design and construction management. She picked design because it's the perfect mix of creativity and logic, and she loves the math of the job as much as figuring out exactly what colors and materials a space needs. 📐🎨

Before joining us, she ran her own small business designing and sewing upcycled clothing. She made her own patterns and sold her pieces at local markets all over. 🧵

A few fun facts about Alexis:
🌸 She's been to Monet's gardens
🍝 Her favorite dish to make is homemade pesto pasta
🎹 She just started learning piano
☀️ Summer is her season: sunsets, lake days, hiking and travel
🇬🇷 Greece is next on her bucket list
🏛️ Someday she plans to design her own home, inspired by Italian, Spanish and Chinese architecture

Her goal for every space she designs? To create an unforgettable feeling, a moment, and something beautiful to look back on. 💛

We're so lucky to have her on the team!

Hi friends! 👋 I'm Shae, the founder of STR Bold Studio.

Design was my first love. I earned my BFA in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago and went straight to work as an interior designer, seeing homes all the way from construction through furniture installation. 🎨

In 2016, Ryan and I took the leap and moved to the Ozarks. I got my real estate license so I could bring my two passions together. Before long we were turning homes into vacation rentals, and then building them from the ground up. 🏡

Along the way I've designed Constellations, the Container Home, The Nest and The Enchanted Landing, and I did the finish selections for Echo Creek Lodge. Right now I'm deep into Jetson Landing and "The Goat" tower home, and I can't wait to show you how they turn out! ✨

STR Bold Studio brings it all back to where I started: bold, memorable design for people who own a vacation rental in SW Missouri & NW Arkansas. So glad you're here! 💛

Sneak peek 👀✨ These views are something else! Floor-to-ceiling windows, glowing accent lighting, and the Ozarks hills stretching out as far as you can see. 🌲 We can't wait to show you more of this one. Stay tuned!

Buying a lake-area rental this fall? Call your designer BEFORE you order a single couch. 🛋

The look of your rental should be a plan, not a pile of furniture. At The Constellations, a micro resort with 4 luxury A-frames and a poolhouse on 6 acres, each cabin got its own BOLD color scheme, so every one feels like a different stay.

🩵 Orion: teal walls and a black spiral staircase up to the loft
💗 Virgo: pink walls with a gold and green fan wallpaper
💚 Ta**us: green walls, green tile and open wood shelves in the kitchen
💙 Aries: blue walls and a loft with swinging chairs

Every cabin has its own private hot tub and a steam shower for two, and the whole resort is adults only! 🔥

When we're brought in early, we can plan the layout, the sleeping setup, the finishes, and the photo moments all together. From furniture to forks, we've got you covered!

STR owners and investors: we work by appointment. Call or text 417-239-4972 to set up a free consultation.

Would you believe this is the BATHROOM? 😍

Every room at The Enchanted Landing got its own personality. This six-bedroom lodge overlooks the Branson Landing, and the goal was simple: make it the stay guests can't stop talking about.

Swipe through a few of my favorites:
🌾 Meadow mural walls and a gold scalloped mirror in the bath
🌳 A tree mural and a bold orange TV wall in the living room
🍽 Long wood tables under hanging planters in the dining room
🛏 A moody charcoal bedroom with a half-moon rust headboard (I really love this bedroom!)
☁️ Bunk beds under a painted-sky ceiling for the kiddos

Just having a beautiful home doesn't cut it anymore in the Branson vacation rental market. Guests want IMMERSIVE. This one is built to outbook its neighbors!

Selling this fall? Buyers scroll listing photos the SAME way guests scroll Airbnb. 📱

As a Realtor AND a designer, I can tell you staging uses a lot of the same tricks we use to make vacation rentals stand out. Here are 3 easy ones:

1️⃣ Give every corner a job. See this angled A-frame corner at The Nest? A round rug, a round table, and 4 chairs turned it into a dining spot you can picture yourself in.
2️⃣ Layer the bed. Crisp white bedding, a throw, and a few pillows photograph SO much better than a bare mattress or a busy comforter.
3️⃣ Turn on every lamp before photos. Warm light feels welcoming.

(And yes, we do home staging too! 😉)

Sellers and agent friends: which room is always the hardest to stage? 👇

Disco balls for the pool house? Obviously. 🪩✨

Alexis and I are deep in the details at Jetson Landing, our newest short-term rental design in Branson. Bold color, playful patterns, and a pool house made for making memories. Full reveal coming soon!

Which room are you most excited to see? 👇

Would you book this? Be honest 👀

Yes, that's FOUR shipping containers! The Container Home was the first of its kind in the Branson market. Ryan and I built it ourselves, and I got to design the interiors!

📦 4 containers turned into one bold getaway
🌅 A rooftop deck made for Ozark sunsets
🏊‍♀️ A pool made from a container (yes, really!) plus a hot tub on the deck
🎨 Inside: green cabinets, pops of orange, and a steel staircase

Swipe for the sunset deck and that kitchen 😍

So tell me: YES or NO? And what are you doing first: the rooftop, the pool, or the hot tub?
