Ravens may look black, but in the right light their feathers reveal a blue sheen. I gave mine a deep blue coat and an unexpected perch: a richly decorated egg. A bright arch and leafy branches complete this theatrical little scene.
I’ve always liked the idea that things aren’t necessarily what they seem at first glance. And here’s a photo of me meeting a real bird whose feathers show just what I mean!
