My loyal customers, my friends, my supporters;
I come to you today with a very heavy heart. After months of agonizing, I’ve decided it’s best for me to close this chapter of my life.
I’ve shared with you all openly about how difficult owning a small business has been post Covid. But truthfully, it’s a multitude of reasons. Small businesses are struggling, it is a different world post Covid for businesses; people aren’t quite buying like they were, material costs are still above what they were a few years ago, many consumers prefer fast turnaround and discount prices over handmade turnaround times and quality, and unfortunately I see others offering crafts on far lesser materials with far lesser quality undercutting my prices just a little bit.
There’s only so long us little people can hold on when times are tough.
I have enjoyed every bit of the last seven years. I’ve loved meeting all of you, I’ve loved making your memorials and marking your celebrations, I’ve loved helping make your house a home and creating memorable gifts for your loved ones. I’ve loved giving to this community whenever possible.
Every single piece that left my hands was truly made with love. Making something from nothing during every stage of its evolution, down to the photography, made me so happy.
Thank you for nearly eight years of doing what I love. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for keeping a little piece of me in your homes.
Today I am laying down the nail gun.
My final orders have left my home.
My materials will be sold off.
But I will never forget the time I spent making beautiful work or the pride this business brought me.
XO
~Amy
