Redesign Boise is introducing a new division: "Woodworks by Woodworth" now building cedar planter boxes

For more than five years, woodworking has been a place where Chris Woodworth can create, build, and bring ideas to life with his own two hands.

What began as a passion grew into a heart’s desire to create beautiful, handcrafted pieces that bring purpose and beauty into people’s homes. Woodworks by Woodworth was born from that desire.

Chris shared, “I enjoy transforming wood into beautiful handcrafted creations that warm your heart.”

He believes there is something special about making something by hand. Every piece carries the time, care, creativity, and heart of the person who made it.

That’s why his cedar planter boxes are more than garden boxes. They’re an invitation to grow something of your own—vegetables, herbs, flowers, healthier habits, family memories, and food for your table.

In a world of mass production, Woodworks by Woodworth offers something different: beautiful, handcrafted creations made to last—from his heart and hands to your home.

Whether you have a backyard, a small patio, or simply a desire to grow your own food, he can create a planter that fits your space and your vision.

From his heart and hands to your home. Grow something good!

That’s what Woodworks by Woodworth is all about.

Guess what I have been doing the last few days? Visual Merchandising and staging the upcoming St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho at the newly updated St. Vincent De Paul Furniture Thrift Store located at the Collister Shopping Center. (This will be the fifth thrift store I have volunteered to update and make it more presentable and user friendly to customers in the area. I have been supporting St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores since I moved back to Boise, ID over 22 years ago. A great team led by Ralph May, an amazing man in his own right. As an Interior Redesigner, Color Consultant and Visual Merchandiser I enjoy creating a wonderful shopping expereince for customers. Why do I do it? Because I believe in the Mission of SVDP in helping others. It is also very fun and I get to share my creative gifts of service to our community. Whatever you do, don't miss their Grand Reopening on Tuesday, January 27th! I'm feeling like Alice in Wonderland, "I can't wait for a very important Date.... https://www.facebook.com/svdpid.org/

Isn't it great when you see a dream come to pass? I saw these cool rolling pins that imprint on cookies various holiday designs. I finally ordered one and made my traditional Spanish "Cochitos" Cookies. They are gingerbread little pigs and some trees. It was an extra step but with my knowledge of Bonnie Christine and her Immersion Surface Pattern Design I thought I would try this. This is my second batch and used a new Healthier Gingerbread Cookie recipe that needs to be followed exactly. I then sprinkled some powdered sugar and got a damp paper towel to lightly wipe them so you could see the designs better. So happy they turned out! I also put them on my late Mom, Becky Huerta Archuleta's Christmas gift of Christmas dishes from Mervyn's she bought me once.
