I unearthed a 1960’s concrete, breeze block from under a deck last year. It was from the era I love but there was only one. I couldn’t discard it. After studying the piece, I figured I’d repurpose it into a plant stand.
The wooden structure is Spanish Cedar. This wood is great for withstanding outside environments. I wanted to insure rigidity. Each corner is held by two screws on both opposing sides. The best part is how the aesthetic coincides with hiding the 4 screws at each corner.
