I made a giant version of my lil' Sweet Sweater Spookies TM this year, and he's absolutely adorable! (Not spooky at all, actually 😁)

Make your own groovy versions with a knit blanket, crochet throw, even funky printed sheets and beach towels! They easily come together in just minutes with my tutorial on the homeward found decor blog: https://www.homewardfounddecor.com/2026/10/autumn-sweet-sweater-spookies.html

I was cleaning out my gardening tools storage area, and came across a stack of small peat pots / seed starter pots in a bucket. The bottom pot was a bit damp, and when I picked it up, I accidentally squished it - and an idea hit me!

With a little bit more water and some experimentation, I turned those peat pots into stems for various pumpkins. Find my full tutorial plus links to my Original Glass Globe Pumpkins (TM) on the blog:

I'm currently working on upcoming content, but it's not ready to reveal yet... so for now, enjoy another look at 'The Life of a Showgirl' series of four sparkly DIY pumpkins - inspired by Taylor's album and her fashions on the Eras our - that I created last October. (and NO, they aren't GREEN! LOL)

Find all four tutorials here on the blog: https://www.homewardfounddecor.com/2025/08/autumn-life-of-showgirl-pumpkins.html

🎃 I tend to think of October as being 'Pumpkin Season'... maybe because I love pumpkins so much that I have created so many new versions of them! (Honestly, I am just not into scary / spooky Halloween - at ALL.)

I love the colors and elements that nature offers us in this season, and the ability we have to 'feather our nests' and make them cozy and welcoming for the colder months ahead. I have always championed that we can diy our own autumn decor to make it exactly what we want, in our favorite colors, that expresses our own special style.

I've rounded up some fun pumpkin decor ideas, projects, and tutorials to inspire you this month... find them on the blog!

It does seem like Deb's got a THEME going this fall, does it not? 😉 Yep, I'm letting my bookish obsession off the shelf as I make seasonal decor using BOOKS!

This wreath is a new iteration of an idea I have played around with for years: making replicas of leaves out of paper. I pulled out my box of old tattered damaged books again, and worked some autumn magic with them... find the tutorial on the blog:

🍾 WOW!
Yesterday my lil' DIY blog hit 4 MILLION views! 🤯

Way back in 2012 when I started sharing my original seasonal decor projects, I had no idea it would lead to my work appearing in SO many magazine print and online features, thousands of my Original Sweet Sweater Pumpkins (TM) being sold, and reach people all around the globe!

I am more grateful than I can possibly express to the many viewers, readers, editors, friends, supporters, and customers who have found the content I offer to be worth your time and attention... and I thank you all from the depths of my heart 💚

Autumn is always the busiest season on the blog - probably because I LOVE pumpkins and have over 130 different pumpkin projects shared over the past 14 years. (Yes, I'm working on more for October, so stay tuned!)

Memorial Day Weekend kicks off the summer season here in the USA, and there's always plenty of patriotic decor to be seen... but have you ever thought about making a beverage that matches the decor??!! This easy Red, White, and Blue 'Striped' water is a fun way to do so!

Start with a clear beverage dispenser, placed where you plan to use it. First, pour in one large bag of frozen blueberries - they'll stay on the bottom of the layers. Fill the container 3/4 full of cold water, then add a few cups of ice to keep everything cold. Finish with a layer of fresh strawberries cut in half, to add flavor. They'll float on top of the ice layer - and you'll have a pretty ❤️🤍💙 'striped' drink for your guests!

The fruit isn't just for looks... it will lightly flavor the water, making it tasty enough that everyone will stay hydrated. This is one of my all-time top 'pins' from my homeward found decor blog - I hope it inspires you!
