It’s a dark dreary day in the area which makes me miss going to even more. Then I go back in all my photos and it just makes me feel sunny again. Gives me motivation to finish my forever long renovation! I gotta go to Modernism Week next year!

The amount of storage in this house has been a challenge! I’ve had to add lots of cabinets. Here is just one of the ways we’ve done it. My shelf inspiration came from with her diagonal shelves and and their rainbow 🌈 styling. This area really makes me happy.

The shelves that were inspired by that I posted TWO YEARS AGO have FINALLY been painted and I’m so excited to style them! They are in a very colorful playroom so here we go style.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This year we decided to pair down our dinner to only 8 people - which is saying something since we are 5 people in this house! Nice to slow down a little and chill out. Waaaay easier to be thankful when you have only what you need. However, looking forward to getting back to our Thanksgivings where we have a dinner for 20!

So in the middle of a renovation debacle (don’t get me started with what is going on in my new shower - we need to demo it and start over), I actually got our 11 year old’s bedroom mostly completed. So here’s a little peak of the corner of his new bedroom…always trying to find the balance between “farmhouse” because we actually are on a mini-farm rural property and “modernist” which is where my heart truly lies and the architecture of the house….oh and the needs/wants of a 11 yo kid!

Oh Em Gee! The shower tiling is happening!!! The downstairs reno is now in its 9th week and getting close to finishing…mostly the good stuff is going on now! Yay!!! Such a weird line I’m trying to walk because I don’t necessarily want to do but we are LITERALLY a modern house on a farm property.

This 1964 house is currently on the market in for the low price of $2.3M. I would buy it just for the built-in cabinetry. So pretty and that view is amazing. It’s perfect the way it is. Gah. ❤️🥰❤️

This is a of me being the last person using the on Snapchat. I’ve never felt so old while looking like a young (as if, Disney likes to kill all of us parents off).

The renovation is definitely underway!!! Swipe left to see what is behind that wall. Most people take down walls…not us!! We put one up in our weird U-shaped downstairs living room. Now we’re able to take the washer/dryer and hot water heater out of the downstairs bathroom and put them in the new mud room!
