What happens when an entire community helps build its future hospital? ✨💪💖
Over the past year, Brazee Glass Design collaborated with Margaret Mary Health and 1000 High School students across Batesville to create a monumental community glass mural for the new hospital building opening later this summer.
Inspired by a peaceful woodland sunset photograph by Shay Nartker the mural was designed to bring a sense of calm, reflection, and beauty into the hospital environment for patients, families, and staff. 🌳🌤️
Brazee transformed the image into a giant glass puzzle made from 1,000 individual tiles. Over four days, more than 1,000 high school students each recreated a portion of the image on a glass tile using colorful frit.
Tile by tile, the community helped build a lasting work of art for the hospital that will serve them for generations. ♥️
With expert installation from Wolf Custom Tile, the finished 17-foot mural now lives inside the brand new Margaret Mary Hospital building.
This project is everything we love most about public art: collaboration, creativity, and community coming together to create something beautiful. ✨🌟✨
