Getting started on the matching benches for our new table.

Today was all about brushing and sanding the boards, getting them cleaned up and ready for glue-up.

And we had a special helper with us — Alice 🫶🏻

One of the things we love most about this business is that when the kids need a little extra mom and dad time, they can come ride along, help out, and be part of it all. Those days are some of our favorites.

We can’t wait to see these benches come together and finally complete the set.

Final coat going down on this beautiful white oak floor.

There’s something about white oak and a natural finish that never gets old.

Clean, timeless, and full of character.

What do y’all think? Would you put this in your home? ⬇️

And are you team light hardwood or dark hardwood?

Whatever your project needs, reach out — we’d love to help.

Thanks for being here, y’all!

Need y’all’s help on this one…

We are trying to decide on the best way to protect ithis table while keeping as much of the natural beauty and feel of the wood as possible.

What would you use? Oil? Wax? Something else?

Drop your recommendations below.

We love hearing your ideas, and there’s a good chance you’ll help us make the final decision!

Thanks for being here, y’all!

Yesterday we showed you the progress… today Nick’s showing a little more of what actually goes into laying a herringbone floor.

The why behind certain cuts, a few tricks along the way, and what it takes to make a floor like this come together.

Kids laughing with us, sawdust flying… just another day doing what we love together.

These installs take patience, precision, and a whole lot of craftsmanship… but in the end, it always speaks for itself.

POV: you’re watching a reclaimed herringbone floor come to life one board at a time.

A whole lot of precision, patience, sawdust, and craftsmanship goes into installs like this… but man, the final result is always worth it.

Turn the sound up for this one. 👌💯

Follow along, more to come on this floor. Thanks for being here!

Nick making sample pieces start to finish for a customer out in California.

Beautiful reclaimed dirty top oak in 8”, 5”, and 3” widths.

The variation, texture, and character in this oak is what makes reclaimed wood so special. No two boards are ever exactly alike.

Take a look at how these turned out… we seriously love this style.

Would y’all put this in your home? ⬇️

POV: you’re living a life your younger self used to dream about.

Not every day is easy… but looking around and realizing you built this life little by little is a pretty good feeling.

Happy Monday, y’all
Hope it’s a good week!

Starting to sort through boards for the benches to match the white oak table.

We can’t wait to see the full setup finished. There’s something special about watching rough boards turn into pieces that’ll live on for years to come.

Happy Saturday, y’all!
Hope everybody has a great weekend — see y’all next week!

🌲 Fun Facts Friday at Blue Ox 🌲

Ever wonder how we get the most out of every single log and board? Today Nick is showing you a behind-the-scenes look at how we carefully maximize each cut of wood to reduce waste and get the highest possible yield from our inventory.

That means more beautiful reclaimed flooring for y’all — and less going to waste. It’s all about honoring the material and making sure nothing good gets left behind.

Is this something y’all have seen before? Or is this new to you?

Thanks for following along and supporting what we do here.

Happy Friday, y’all!

Thursday throwback to this table build 👀🔥

Nick’s sharing a few thoughts while showing off one of our favorite projects so far.

We still can’t wait to get the benches finished and finally get this beauty in the house!

Grateful for the work, the process, and all of y’all following along with us.

Hope everybody has a great day!
