We’re incredibly fortunate to work with clients who have a sense of adventure and partner with us in creating unique furnishings for their homes. For this Palm Beach project, our client, a collector of Casey Zablocki’s soulful creations, wished to commission a piece that functions as a sculptural coffee table for her outdoor loggia. The process began with several clay mockups by Casey allowing form to emerge. The finished surfaces feel almost geological, echoing the natural materials we selected throughout the home, earth-driven forms drawn from nature itself.

Our first trip to Sri Lanka, and Atif and I were fortunate to stay at three Geoffrey Bawa landmark properties: House #11 and the De Saram House in Colombo, and The Last House in Tengalle. Bawa’s architecture is soulful and meditative—each space within a space is pure poetry. Back in NYC—rested and inspired!
