This Saturday, May 24, will be the 25th anniversary of our store Main Street Utopia. Please come by between 11-3 and help us celebrate with champagne and charcuterie! It has been our joy and pleasure to serve Utopia as its “little department store” for 25 years. Diane, Auriel, Laurel, and I have had only one goal for the store—to be a benefit to Utopia.
But all good things must come to an end, and as I am now 85 years old it’s probably the best time to pass the baton, and I now will be closing the store. While this is sad for me, it is also joyous because David and Lorah Kassai, the new owners, have exciting plans for the two buildings. This young couple are a blessing to Utopia and are actively contributing to its positive vibe. They will be in the store Saturday, and you can congratulate them and hear their exciting plans for the future of this historic building.
Main Street Utopia has been a personal blessing to me…it has enriched my life! I can’t say thank you enough to Diane Causey, who has fantastically managed the store since its opening day, and to Auriel Robertson, who has brought great joy to all of us by working in the store the past eleven years.
Needless to say, we will start a HUGE clearance sale Saturday! Everything must go!! Please come by and give us all a hug, enjoy refreshments, and find some fantastic bargains for yourself and your home.
