When The Hipwaders first played a show at the Jelly Belly Candy factory, Kelly the Clown suddenly burst into the room on her giant tricycle. We had never seen her before and it seems the parents & kids sure knew who was from the amount of cheers and applause. It was the most dramatic cool entrance I’d ever seen and my first thought was “She needs entrance music!” So I wrote a song for her. The Hipwaders and Kelly went on to play many shows together. It was always a pleasure to see her ride into a room as we’d play her theme. Happy retirement to Kelly the Clown!
Come on out to the Jelly Belly Candy factory, in Fairfield, this Saturday, Nov. 25th from 5-8pm to wish Kelly a happy retirement!
