This year's batch of calendula is so big and neon orange. It makes a great cut flower, but I also dry them to make calendula oil for salve.

It’s almost hot farmers market girl summer.
We’re supporting local growers, flirting with the idea of becoming people who bake pies, and leaving with way more veggies than we planned.
Fresh produce? Yes.
Sunshine? Absolutely.
A bouquet for the dining room table? Obviously.
Catch me at the Harvey County Farmers Market in Newton every Saturday starting May 23rd 8am-noon and occasionally thursday evenings at the Main Street Valley Center Farmers Market.

Hi friends! I’m Shelby Collins, full‑time chemist, part‑time lecturer at WSU, mom, and the face behind Inflorescence Farm. My husband Nathan is the muscle, the builder, and the one who turns my wild ideas into real things you can touch and smell.

We bought a little piece of land with the dream of building our home, and while that dream is still growing, so are the flowers. What started as “let’s grow a few things” has turned into rows of color, armfuls of blooms, and a whole lot of joy. Thanks for being here and supporting our tiny farm as it blossoms.
