Polka Dot Kitty Quilting

I am a very self-taught quilter where we lived when I started we did not have good internet access and there was not any quilting classes anywhere close to me so as a result I’m constantly learning new things or just realizing the  obvious while working today I was working on my wall hanging it has a white background I hate the way white backgrounds look so I rarely do them about 3 rows of quilting in I realized if I put muslin under it it makes a world of difference it dose not show real well in the photos but you can see the difference in person it even looks better it’s to late for this quilt but I am planning to do this quilt again and I will be putting the muslin layer behind it

I have put off finishing this quilt because I was not 100% happy with it then I realized I should be proud of how far I have come and finish it anyway never be ashamed of how you started and keep going it gets better the more you work at it.

Wednesday again it just keeps happening so fast. we do meet tomorrow at 3 I hope you can come we have our next UGRR block we can work on and of corse the quilt we have been working on and it was requested we go over the  strip piecing technique so I will do my best to cover that as well.we will sit and sew on whatever you choose to bring. sit and sew is just a way for us to sew and chat with each other and help each other when needed. have a great day and see you soon 🙂

ok as we discussed last week, we will not be meeting this week. We are going to start meeting every other week, and with the season changing, we are going to an earlier time, 3:00 pm, so hopefully you won't have to drive in the dark as always. I am here most every day, and you are welcome any time. I do have a lot of dr appointments lined up; I also tend to wander off some days LOL, so just text to confirm I will be here first. I look forward to seeing everyone and hope to see you next Thursday

Also, don't forget quilt drop-off is 8-4 Saturday the 10th, and 8-4 Sunday the 11th at the fairgrounds this time

This is going to be the center of a table runner I found this gorgeous pattern on embroidery library’s site it is so pretty I really need to find more opportunities to use my embroidery machine

New bias tape/ Binding maker the part I hate most about making my binding is the ironing this makes it so easy I love it I will post a link in the comments I do not get anything for it I’m just sharing it so anyone who loves sewing room gadgets like me can check it out 😁
