Today we packed up our booth and stepped away from being in a brick-and-mortar space for a while. It's a little bittersweet, if I'm honest. There are things I'll miss but as fall and winter settle in I'm looking forward to a slower season. No more constant reminders or guilt that I should be cleaning, pricing, rearranging, or fluffing displays every weekend.
Instead, you'll find me crocheting by the fire, packing online orders at the table (we’ve reached 3,500 orders from both shops!) and spending quiet evenings next to my husband. Will there be another booth in our future? Maybe. The best adventures have a way of finding us when the time is right. For now, we're simply turning the page and settling into a season that feels right.
For so long, we've been taught that more is better. More commitments. More projects. More hustle… Hog Wash, as my grandmother would say. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let something go.
If your heart has been craving a slower pace, consider this your permission slip. Let go of something that no longer fits. Leave a little space on the calendar. The world will keep turning and you might find yourself enjoying this season a whole lot more. Here's to crackling fires, warm mugs, creative projects, and the courage to embrace a slower season.
