Sharing my thoughts...The pandemic has hit our community very hard...The businesses are cautiously opening up and it is up to us to help them succeed...Sad to look around and see a few who have closed.
* Getting back to "normal" in Van Wert County will take the cooperation of all residents in the area,,,Our restaurants ...Gas stations...Retail businesses...Home based businesses...Churches all could use an extra boost from all of us...
* All types of retail businesses are very important in order for us to return to some sort of normal...I encourage you to look around and see what you might do to contribute to the economic development in the area...MAKE A MAP...plan mini outings to those shops you would miss if they were to go out of business...If you can not buy something right now, just stop by and give them your support and encouragement...Let them know how much you appreciate them being here!!!

Sharing my thoughts...Shop Local...Getting back to "normal" in Van Wert County will take the cooperation of all residents in the area,,,Our local county businesses need our help by using their services whenever possible..Restaurants (indoor and carry out)...Gas stations...Retail businesses...Home based businesses...Churches.

All types of service businesses in our county are very important in order for us to return to some sort of normal...I encourage you to look around and see what you might do to contribute to the economic development in the area.

I would like to suggest a few ideas...The Olde Barn on 127 South has a Fall Open House this Friday through Sunday; The Dandelion School House on the Mercer - Van Wert Co. Line Rd.; This Saturday evening , the Freedom Cruise #5 on Main St..Van Wert starting at 7 p.m. (food, fun, bring your lawn chairs).

Coming soon...Van Wert’s first Third Friday on September 18th will feature music, businesses on Main St open 11 am to 8 pm... 1. Jamie Linn’s Boutique 2. The Well Nutrition 3. The Warehouse 4. Have an enjoyable Labor Day Weekend. September 4th - 7th...The Van Wert County Fair is going on in "miniature"...See the animals and indulge in the delicious fair food offered by a number of food stands...Stay safe, wear your masks, social distance and we will all contribute to a fun and successful holiday weekend.

Happy 4th of July Weekend!!! There are a number of businesses open today...Shop Local...Fair Food at the the fairgrounds today and tomorrow until 8pm...Fountain in the Park concert at 7pm tonight as well as food trucks until 9 on S. Jefferson St. ...Fireworks at Van Wert High School starting at 10pm tonight...Practice social distancing and wear your masks to protect yourself and others when in close proximity to others...Let's show we can overcome this virus with small adjustments to our lives.

Have enjoyed my Cricut cutting machine during this down time...I made this t-shirt for my granddaughter, who is a nurse, and decorated my dining room table with a few of the items I have created. Keeping busy.

Today is National Doctor Day...Let us remember all medical professionals, as well, during this difficult time and give them the thanks they deserve for all they are doing to keep this country safe.and well...Say a PRAYER for all of them.
