Walkway completed. Homeowner had irregular granite slabs on site and wanted the edges with the red brick border. We installed a 6" crushed gravel base, 1" stone dust bedding layer, laid the.granite and brick border, and then swept the joints with polymeric stone dust.

I get asked what we do in the winter quite a bit. Every winter is different. Sometimes we have a nice fireplace or a big job we can cover and heat. Some winters I have helped carpenters on their projects. Some winters I've gone back to commercial masonry. Some winters work is scarce all around and I stay home and feed the stove and spend savings. This past winter a long time customer asked if we would build his camp after his burned. This is the first carpentry job we ever took on from start to finish. Went went back recently and did the retaining walls and patios. Some of the patio stone weighed close to 2000 lbs. It was a fun change of pace for us.
