Been working & reworking this for a while but happy to say it’s finally finished.

This is a reproduction of the famous P Perumal painting “Village Wedding Procession”. He was a famous S Indian painter who painted in the mid 1900’s & his works are prominently displayed in a handful of galleries in India.

After redrawing the whole thing, I finally got to do the initial paint outline today!

I like drawing/painting freehand buuuut now realizing it isn’t always efficient. Eyeballed figures but it didn’t look quite right. So I drew a grid to see how far off I was & man was I off! Now I have to start all over!!😖

If u zoom in u can see grid. The leftmost figure’s head should be in the upper left box in the grid! And similarly everything else should be about 50% bigger. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Pet portraits also make a great gift, and not just for the holidays…they’re great for bdays, going away gifts for college students who miss their fur sibling, weddings (furst family portrait w/ newlyweds & their fur baby), etc.
