If you have time tomorrow late morning, the The Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run will be coming right past us around 11:30 ish. Special Olympics is near and dear to our hearts at Phelps, come on down to cheer them on!

🏃‍♂️🔥 2026 Torch Run for Special Olympics 🔥🏃‍♀️

Tomorrow, June 4, members of the Vernon Police Department, as well as family and friends, will proudly participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut.

Our leg of the run will begin at approximately 11:30 AM in the area of Routes 30 and 31 and continue along Route 30 to the Manchester town line.

Motorists should expect temporary traffic delays in the area as officers and volunteers carry the Flame of Hope in support of the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Connecticut.

If you see us along the route, give us a wave, a cheer, or a friendly honk to show your support! Your encouragement helps make this event special and supports a great cause. 💙💛
