Finally finished this wall hanging!

I'm embracing the art of 'good enough', and leaving in everything I don't think is perfect in my quilting. While I would love to be perfect, as my band teacher always said "Practice makes permanent". So, the more I make, the more I can work on my technique. But for now, it's good enough!

Just have to add binding, and my first art quilt will be finished! Really excited to be back to creating.

My free motion quilting technique is getting better! It is definitely going to take time to build up the muscle memory and fluidity, but practice makes permanent!

This is a tree of life applique design I made, and I am working on the quilting design and technique to turn this into a larger commissioned piece.

Tips and tricks for making wreaths on a budget

Ever since I can remember, my mom was doing crafts with my sister and I. We'd do everything from painting to mosaics to decoupage. But, one of my favorite crafts we did was making seasonal wreaths using silk flowers and a basic wreath base. These can be very costly, even if you fully construct them....

Its been a while, but I am finally back to posting. Check out what I've been doing to keep busy while recovering from my health flare.

A few years ago I started a small container herb garden, with the idea that I would use those herbs fresh in my cooking. Well, I forgot to factor in the fact that I live in one of the sunniest places in the US- Florida. Not only do herbs grow outside all year round here, but yield is so much higher....
