Washcloth Wednesday Week 1
Moss Stitch Rib is a simple rhythmic 4-row repeat that looks pretty from either side! Washcloth Wednesdays give you an opportunity to try new stitches and new yarns without committing to a large project. This sample is knit in Universal Cotton Supreme, 100% cotton that is sturdy yet softens with use. It’s become one of our favorites for baby blankets because of the color choices and softness. Bring on the summer fun!
June is here and we are ready for it! We have new yarn, new samples and a whole lot of ideas just waiting for you to discover.

Here’s what’s happening at KnitHappenz in June:

June 3 Washcloth Wednesday - a summer favorite is back by popular demand. Each Wednesday we will release a new washcloth pattern for you to pick up at the shop. Anyone and everyone can participate- there’s no sign-up or class to attend. Just come by, pick out your yarn and grab a pattern. It’s a great way to learn a new stitch pattern, try a new yarn, and enjoy small finishing victories throughout the summer. These make great gifts!

June 5- Summer Clearance Sale Begins as we make room for new yarns- no holds and all sales are final on some amazing deals!

June 13- World Wide Knit in Public Day- come join the fun and share your projects. More info to come!

June 27- HollyDyeWorks Trunk Show- we have all fallen in love with the fi*****ng weight beauties and can’t wait to have more in the shop. We hope to introduce more weights as well. We can’t wait! Details to follow.

Around the Room blanket features an easy-to-knit, reversible stitch pattern. It looks the same on both sides of the project!

As with most of my blanket knitting patterns, the PDF knitting pattern includes instructions for six blanket sizes including: baby blanket, large throw and afghan.

I used Berroco Yarn Pima 100 worsted #4 weight yarn in the ‘Wisteria’ colorway… purchased at The Yarnery in St. Paul, Minnesota. This 100% cotton yarn has fantastic stitch definition and the results are lovely!

The geometric stitch pattern featured in this design reminds me of meaningful moments shared around the room with family and friends. Some of life’s most memorable moments happen simply by being together in the same room.
