From our beginnings in Seven Corners to our home today in Vienna, it’s been an incredible journey filled with beautiful flowers, cherished memories, and the privilege of being part of life’s most meaningful moments.

As we approach our 70th anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting on the wonderful memories and special moments we’ve shared with our customers over the years.

One of those sweet memories came full circle recently! The little princess who rode in the Halloween parade for our 60th anniversary is now all grown up and graduating from high school! She stopped by to pick up a corsage, and it was such a joy to see her again!

Moments like these remind us just how special it is to be part of your lives, from childhood memories to life’s biggest milestones.

To all of our loyal customers, thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s special occasions, generation after generation. Your continued support, friendship, and loyalty mean more to us than words can express.

🌸 Petal It Forward Day in Vienna! 💐

What better way to celebrate Karin’s Florist’s 70th anniversary than by spreading a little extra joy throughout our community? ❤️

Today, we took to the streets of Vienna to celebrate Petal It Forward Day, surprising people with flowers and encouraging them to share the kindness with someone else. The idea is simple: keep one bouquet for yourself and give the other to brighten someone else’s day!

From the smiles to the surprised reactions, it was a wonderful reminder that a small gesture can make a big difference. We’re grateful to be part of such a caring community and to celebrate 70 years of making life’s moments more meaningful through flowers.

This year, Karin’s Florist and Apple Federal Credit Union are both celebrating 70 years—and what better way to celebrate than by spreading a little joy?

We delivered flowers to our friends at Apple FCU, who then participated in Petal It Forward Day by surprising a member at their Fairfax Corner Branch! ❤️

It’s a small gesture with a big message: flowers can brighten someone’s day, spark a smile, and inspire kindness that keeps growing.

Today, on Petal It Forward Day, we’re celebrating seven decades of community, connection, and relationships—and looking forward to many more!

What is Petal It Forward Day? A nationwide initiative started by the Society of American Florists (SAF) in 2015 to spread joy and kindness through the simple act of giving flowers. On this day, participants hand out two flowers or bouquets to strangers—one for the recipient to keep and one to share with someone else—creating a ripple effect of generosity and happiness. The event highlights the positive emotional and social benefits of giving and receiving flowers, including reduced stress and increased happiness
