Client project spotlight: A SPRING-INSPIRED DESIGN TO BRIGHTEN YOUR FALL

As the colder days of fall settle in, I’m excited to share a heartwarming project that brings the vibrant joy of spring into a home—a wonderful reminder that our spaces can uplift us, no matter the season.

Client Project Spotlight: A Fresh Start for Joanne’s Living and Dining Room
Joanne reached out to me after receiving one of my postcards, looking to rediscover a home she could truly love. After the loss of her longtime partner, she wanted her surroundings to reflect hope and renewal. Together, we embarked on a journey to transform her home into a bright, comforting retreat filled with warmth and joy.

The Design Process: Bringing Spring into Fall
Through a style survey, Joanne identified that her home no longer felt like “her.” It was dark and heavy, and the atmosphere weighed on her mood. Our goal was clear: create a light, uplifting space where she could smile again.
Key Design Elements We Finalized:

•A Light and Fresh Color Palette:
We chose a serene mix of sky blues and crisp whites, inspired by Joanne’s favorite spring hues.

•Comfort-First Furniture Selection:
A plush blue sofa paired with a cozy white loveseat and floral-patterned chairs bring comfort and elegance to the room.

•Brightening the Space with Flooring and Lighting:
A whitewashed floor enhances the room’s airiness, complemented by lighting designed to create a warm, inviting glow.

•Drapery and Accents for Cohesion:
Sky-blue silk drapes with dark hardware add sophistication, while floral-patterned pillows and chairs provide a playful, harmonious touch.

The design plan will be implemented after the holidays, but Joanne is already thrilled by the vision. She’s excited about her home’s new identity—a space full of life and positivity.
