Take a look at these final renderings for the new Maury High School!

The New Maury High School project consists of the design and construction of an approximately 300,000-square-foot, four-story high school and extensive site improvements, replacing the original 1911 facility—the oldest public high school in the city. After years of advancing the project through the PPEA process, Heartland Construction was awarded the Design – Build Contract and has partnered with HBA and WPA, HBA serves as co-architect of record alongside WPA. The initial design team included VMDO. Rather than renovating the aging structure, the city determined a new, state-of-the-art facility was necessary to meet modern educational standards and long-term community needs. Designed to accommodate up to 1,750 students, the new campus will feature modern classrooms, collaborative learning environments, experimental labs for CTE programs, gymnasiums, a 700-seat auditorium for music, theater, and visual arts, and a full complement of athletic facilities including baseball, softball, tennis, and track. Outdoor learning spaces, pedestrian pathways, enhanced site amenities, and comprehensive site work—including earthwork, utilities, parking, hardscapes, and landscaping—are integral components of the project. Construction began in November 2025, with completion anticipated in fall 2028. While delivering a forward-thinking educational environment, the project also prioritizes preservation of historically significant portions of the original Maury High School, honoring its legacy while creating a modern campus for future generations.

We're excited to share a sneak peek of the new Enon Library in Chesterfield County! This new 25,000 sqft building will serve to replace the current 4,000-square-foot facility. Conceptualized as an “inside-out” hub, Enon Library guides its users into a central, spine-like community space that branches into personalized destinations for various user groups. We loved working with the client to ensure that each user group will have dynamic spaces to enjoy and call their own.
