Last night was beautiful proof of the magic that happens when we truly connect. Women of different faiths, backgrounds, and generations gathered under one roof for an evening of art, reflection, and sisterhood.
We began our canvases in the deep shadows, but brushstroke by brushstroke, we invited the light to sneak through. It was a moving reminder that no matter how heavy life can feel, hope always finds a way to illuminate our hearts when we share our space and our stories.
Thank you to everyone who brought so much laughter, warmth, and soul to this night. You didn't just paint; you built a bridge. 💕

Change can be beautiful! Even though the doors at Painted Tree have closed, we are taking our brushes and canvases to the best studio in the world: Nature. 🌳
I’m holding onto the wisdom "It may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you." This transition has given us the perfect reason to breathe in fresh inspiration and paint under the open sky.

Can an algorithm ever truly have a soul? 🎨
We live in a world where AI can generate a perfect image in seconds. But I believe there is a fundamental difference between a result and a creation.
A machine cannot experience the emotion that gives birth to a masterpiece. It doesn’t have memories to draw from, it doesn’t feel the physical resistance of the canvas, and its heart doesn't beat faster when a vision finally comes to life
Art is a dialogue between two souls,
We don't just look at a painting for its colors we look at it to feel understood by another human being. The happy accidents and the texture of the paint are marks of a living, breathing process that a digital algorithm can only simulate, never truly live.
When the camera was invented, people feared painting would die. Instead, it pushed artists to be more creative and more human. AI is just another tool, but it can never replace the intention, philosophy, and physical energy you put into your work.
In an increasingly digital world, the handmade is becoming our most precious connection to reality. As long as humans have stories to tell and hearts that feel, the painter and the sculptor will always be needed.🎨🖌️

Ever wonder what the world looks like to an ant? Our young artists at Walaa Gallery explored that! For our latest project, the kids painted life from an ant's point of view.
We didn't just paint,we studied our tiny subjects! We learned so many wonderful lessons from ant behavior, the importance of teamwork, working hard, and looking out for your community.
This project was amazing for stretching their imaginations and challenging their creativity. Changing your perspective is such a powerful tool in art and in life, and it’s wonderful to see how projects like this help build their confidence and shape their growing personalities🌻🐜
