Orange dahlias represent joy and excitement. The local flower season ends as the frost approaches. Instead of feeling sad, I am using the blooms as excitement for adventures to come. If you are “city girl”, like myself, you might think this is a pumpkin. If you are a farmer like Catherine at Bluff Valley Farm, you know it is a gourd. Actually it is a “princess pumpkin” in the blooms world. Orange dahlias stand for “for long-term health and wellness”. (The blooms find princess pumpkins to be pure fun so there will be more Fall frolicking🌻)

I was supposed to be dead-heading some blooms in the gardens. Then it just happened😳. Feelings came. Knowing the best way to create joy is to do something unexpected for others. This is a bouquet of friendship. Lisianthus has also come to represent the rising above one's surroundings and being grateful for things in your life. The blooms are grateful for you🌺. (And long lasting bonds. It is one of the top wedding flowers.)

The blooms have a true story to tell you. A memory was made at last night’s flower bar. The blooms think they look regal in this vase and here is the story. “The base is a trophy. My dad won it at the original Wabasha golf course. He had to win the annual golf tournament. Then he had to win for three years in a row !! to get the trophy. One of the years he beat his dad. The trophy means a lot to us. and with the flowers I feel it’s spectacular.” ❤️

Duh, the blooms already knew this. ☺️. Tomorrow, Friday August 18, there is a flower bar at Wabasha Public Health, 411 Hiawatha Dr, Wabasha, Mn from 9:00 AM to Noon. Stress is soooo last year😂
