Our biggest art show EVER is here, and you don’t want to miss it!

The Makery is thrilled to be hosting the 2026 North Carolina Statewide Juried Pastel Exhibition! Our gallery is filled with incredible artwork from talented artists across the state, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! Pastel Society

“Through the Trees” by Daphne Ghiz Boder has already found its forever home! ❤️ But don’t worry, there are still so many amazing works available for purchase.

Whether you’re an art collector, an art lover, or just looking for a little creative inspiration, this is a show worth seeing in person!

🎃 MEMBER MEETUP: PUMPKIN CARVING! 🎃

Join us at The Makery on October 22 at 6:30 PM for a fun night of creativity, carving, and hanging out with fellow Makery members!

Bring your own pumpkin and follow along as Steffen Christos demonstrates his unique pumpkin carving technique. Whether you’re a seasoned pumpkin carver or just looking to try something new, this is a great chance to learn, create, and have some fun!

🎨 ART 101: AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM! ✨

Looking for a creative after-school activity for your young artist? Join us at The Makery every Tuesday in October for Art 101, a 4-week semi-private art program designed for artists ages 7–13!

🖌️ October 6, 13, 20 & 27
⏰ 4:30–6:00 PM
👩‍🎨 Ages 7–13
🎟️ One ticket includes all 4 classes!

Over the four weeks, students will explore the fundamentals of drawing, painting, and sculpture while building on their skills from week to week.

✨ Students will explore:
✏️ Drawing with graphite, markers, colored pencil & pastel
🎨 Acrylic painting techniques
🏺 Sculpture & working with clay

Each week includes a new hands-on project, personalized instruction, and plenty of opportunities for students to experiment, create, and develop their own artistic style.

This semi-private setting allows for more individualized attention while giving young artists the chance to grow their confidence and creativity in a fun, supportive environment. 💕🎨
